Do you ever walk out of a fantastic session at a big trade show with a copy of the speaker’s book in your hand, jazzed because the guy or gal was completely speaking your language?

Do you get back to the office, put the book on your shelf, and forget about it? That’s me. And that’s my argument for working with a business coach. It’s not therapy. It’s working with a personal trainer for your career, someone who picks you apart and makes you better at your job.

Registration is open for the next Lean In To Leadership, a group coaching program for women in the produce industry.

This is the third edition of the program, run by Wendy McManus of Connect 2 Potential, who’s also my business coach.

I sat down with Wendy to chat about the program, who it’s for, and why someone might want to work with a coach.

I think this topic dovetails nicely with a recent feature we had in Produce Blueprints magazine, The Infinite Value of Talent Development. If you haven’t had the opportunity to check that out, I highly recommend it.
