The world as we know it has dramatically changed over the past few weeks, and the fresh produce supply chain has had to adapt. Tom Stenzel, CEO of the United Fresh Produce Association, outlines some of the drastic steps taken, and next steps forward for the fresh produce industry in this update from Washington, D.C.

Some key points:

H-2A has had some big wins over the past two weeks, but questions remain about the status of workers currently in the U.S. whose visas will expire;

Accurate and thorough record keeping will be paramount for companies needing CARES Act financial relief;

How will the $9.5 billion allocated for agriculture in the CARES Act be managed;

How will we ensure that food banks and school feeding programs continue to have fresh produce available.
