Earnings per diluted share, excluding special items, increased 12.0 percent to $0.56 compared to $0.50 for the first quarter of fiscal 2015. On a GAAP basis, earnings per diluted share increased 10.2 percent to $0.54 compared to $0.49 for the first quarter of fiscal 2015. Brinker International company sales increased 7.8 percent to $740.5 million.
