Caruso Produce, Inc. BB #:100737 has been going strong in its new 95,000 square foot warehouse it opened in May in Canby, OR.
Company president Sam Caruso said the new facility is exactly what the company needed to sustain growth.
“We plan on using this new space for produce distribution, expanding our business, increasing efficiency and optimizing quality,” he said August 23.
The company’s previous Portland-area warehouse was a 30,000 square foot one in Tualatin. It also has warehouses in Tukwila and Redmond, WA.
“Basically, we outgrew our last facility 10 years ago,” Caruso said. “Our goal from the time I took over 4.5 years ago was to build a really nice new facility for our customers and employees. It give us a better quality of life. Some of our guys spend as much time at work as they do at home.”
Caruso Produce will handle a full line of fresh fruits and vegetables from the new warehouse, he said.
“We love Northwest grown produce, Pinos tomatoes, pink pineapple and limes, Stemilt Organic tree fruit, Mountain View and Prima soft fruit, all things Dulcinea, Dole bananas, Andy Boy leaf Lettuce, T&A veggies and Duckwall pears, Driscoll strawberries, to name a few.”
