Chick-fil-A restaurants plan to remove their side salad from the menu next week.
According to an announcement posted on social media, it reads, “Spring is here, and we are taking the opportunity to refresh our menu. One of the changes is a farewell to our side salad beginning April 3.”
The side salad is described on Chick-fil-A’s menu as “A fresh bed of mixed greens, topped with a blend of shredded Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses and grape tomatoes. Prepared fresh daily. Served with charred tomato, crispy red bell peppers and choice of dressing.”
“Serving guests is at the heart of all we do at Chick-fil-A,” the restaurant chain said in a statement to FOX Television Stations. “In order for our Restaurant Team Members to continue to deliver quality food and signature hospitality, at times we have to make difficult decisions to help simplify our menu.”
In February, Chick-fil-A announced it “will begin testing its first plant-forward entrée, the Chick-fil-A Cauliflower Sandwich, at restaurants in three markets. The sandwich is made with a tender filet cut from a whole, real cauliflower and embraces the plant-forward style that places vegetables at the center of the entrée.”
