By using your Blue Book Services Membership, you can contribute to a positive working relationship between the sales and credit teams within your organization. In this edition’s Credit & Finance article, “Riding the Seesaw,” we examine the difficulties inherent in this working relationship. Use your Membership to help validate your credit extension request.

For example, you have a hot prospect, ready to place a large order. You may need to get approval for this sale from your credit manager. First, however, you can check the company’s current Blue Book Rating on BBOS. Does it support the requested credit limit? Is this company’s integrity sound? If not, you may be able to save time by moving on to another buyer with a better rating.
