Business event and performance trends offer a glimpse at what has occurred over the periods covered. The data is noteworthy, while scoring detail can be actionable.

Blue Book’s number-one question from a seller of product or services is “Will I get paid?” It’s an important question and with the right risk management tools, proper interpretation, and trend considerations, sellers can reduce risk and reasonably predict outcomes regarding their customers.

By understanding industry event history and trends, one can reasonably estimate future direction. By monitoring Blue Book Ratings, businesses can conclude when they might get paid based on a debtor’s rating assignment. Scores, too, will predict whether or not a company will be paid in a satisfactory time period, or the likelihood a customer might go out of business.

Industry trading performance can offer a glimpse into what may come and certainly provide some explanation of overall experiences—but all businesses must always keep unforeseen factors in mind.
