One of the key features that Ms. Zuckerman finds particularly helpful is Blue Book’s payment score trends, which provide insight into a company’s payment behavior over the past year. “Their payment score trends showing the company payments over the last year is a good source of knowledge and when teamed up with the ratings can give me an insight into whether to open an account and how much credit we should give them.”

In addition to customer evaluation, Blue Book helps Ms. Zuckerman stay ahead of potential issues. “It also allows me to advise our sales team that an existing customer is possibly having financial difficulties,” she says. The reports available through Blue Book, such as the BB Business Report, Experian report, or Public Records report, are crucial to her analysis. “The access to the BB Business report and, if necessary, the Experian report or the Public Records report are the backbone of how I analyze the customer and what I use as my recommendations to the GM and President before we decide how to proceed.”
