TUCSON, AZ – The Fresh Produce Association of the Americas’ BB #:144354 second annual Southwest International Produce Expo wrapped up its largest event with plans for a change in year 3.
FPAA president Lance Jungmeyer said the next event will move from its traditional November spot to January 2026, fourteen months away.
He said it should be easier for attendees since it won’t be a few weeks after the big IFPA Produce and Floral Expo, annually held in October.
Tucson should also be a nice January draw for buyers who live in colder, northern climates.
The 2024 event set a record with more than 750 attendees, Jungmeyer said, up from about 500 in 2023. Expo exhibitors grew to 65 from 45 last year.
He also said with about 60 buyers attending this year, it was nearly a one-to-one ratio with exhibitors.
Although the 2026 event, slated for January 22-24 will be in Tucson, the precise location hasn’t been determined yet but will soon.
