Despite the supply chain woes and pesty inflation, demand for melons remains good, especially for watermelons.  The key is to increase productivity without sacrificing quality. Customers are looking for solid partners that focus in delivering outstanding service and good quality products.

The short-term goals are solution based and include securing adequate and qualify sources of melon supplies to match demand from our customers. While providing excellent service to our customers, we remain strongly committed to our growers with positive returns to the farms.  In the long run, we aim to grow the melon category at Fresh Farms BB #:194140 in ways that will offer our customers adequate supply of melons on a year-round basis.

Jean Patrice has extensive melon experience with Multinational company Del Monte Fresh BB #:111187. We have been aiming our efforts to expand in this category as we feel the opportunity is very good and our customer base can gain more value from us offering more. Jean Patrice will lead the sales and sourcing efforts in our group. He will travel and be based in Miami which is also giving us a presence on the east coast and helps us reach our customers easier as well.

With 24 years of experience in the production, source, sales and sales coordination for watermelon, cantaloupe and honeydew, Pat will bring us this experience and help us grow the category. We will build on what we have thus far and add where it makes sense. Mexico has an opportunity in fresh production and logistics as some advantages for North America can be realized over the near and midterm.
