Chicago, IL – March 30, 2025 – Blue Book, a leading provider of business information for the produce and transportation industries, is proud to announce the launch of its fully redesigned website: http://www.bluebookservices.com/.

The new site boasts a fresh look, improved functionality, and a suite of upgraded tools aimed at empowering professionals throughout the produce supply chain.  Users may also recognize that while Blue Book Online Services (BBOS) user interface looks similar, the platform is meaningfully faster.

“We are incredibly excited about the launch of our new website,” said Kirk Soule, CEO of Blue Book. “This redesign represents our goals to simplify and make things easier for our customers.  Our whole focus is on how do we get our users from data to insight to action as fast as possible.  The new site reflects Blue Book’s commitment to delivering market leading resources and making our platform more aligned with the evolving needs of our customers.”

“Our whole focus is on how do we get our users from data to insight to action as fast as possible.  The new site reflects Blue Book’s commitment to delivering market leading resources and making our platform more aligned with the evolving needs of our customers.”

Beyond the website’s design refreshes, Blue Book customers will note a number of new enhancements:

  • The debut of Produce Blueprints®: a recent reader survey highlighted that 80% of respondents prefer to receive their news and analysis digitally, while only 10% of respondents preferred print.  The new website makes it that much easier for our customers to peruse, read, save and share meaningful content with other colleagues and associates.  Moving to a digital medium will also enable a much faster production cycle, as content will now be published multiple times per week (prior was every other month).
  • The Produce Reporter®: the headline news section is also receiving a makeover.  The breaking news pages has been styled after the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.  The focus is less on creating space for advertisements and more on clearly highlighting important news stories. Coming later this spring will also be a USDA market pricing “ticker” that will feature the latest commodity prices each day.
  • Blue Book products: as part of the overhaul, Blue Book’s five core products (embedded in a Blue Book subscription) —Sales Intelligence, Credit Intelligence, Market Intelligence, Procurement Intelligence, and Business Builder Intelligence—have been completely revamped to focus more directly on user workflows. This reorganization helps users access relevant tools and insights based on their specific roles and needs, rather than relying on a generic, feature-based approach.
  • Blue Book Online Services (BBOS): although perhaps less visible to our customers, Blue Book also launched an entirely rebuilt BBOS.  The new site has been built with modern technology so it is faster and far more flexible.  Expect a host of new features to be unveiled over the coming weeks and months!

Jason Carty, Head of Sales at Blue Book, emphasized the value this user-centric approach brings to customers: “The new site allows us to better connect with our customers by highlighting how these solutions can directly impact their existing workflows and pain points. By simplifying the product offerings and focusing on workflow-based features, we’re helping our customers streamline their daily tasks, save time, and ultimately grow their businesses.”

This is not just a marketing update, but the rebuild of the Blue Book platform was also a meaningful technical undertaking.

“As opposed to ‘reskinning’ our existing site, we completely rebuilt the website from the ground up.  The technology behind this site revamp is a game-changer,” said Charles Boicey, CTO of Blue Book. “Our team has worked tirelessly to build a platform that is not only faster and more reliable but also capable of providing an enhanced user experience. Whether it’s through the digital Produce Blueprints®, a revamped The Produce News® or the intelligent, streamlined workflow of our product offerings, we’re empowering our users with the tools they need to make data-driven decisions with ease.”

The new website is already live at www.bluebookservices.com, with additional features, including USDA market data, to be rolled out in the coming weeks.

Blue Book continues to be at the forefront of providing business intelligence solutions to the produce and transportation industries, and this website makeover reinforces its ongoing commitment to offering unparalleled value, insights, and innovation.
