Eric Stover, CEO of Cardenas Markets and El Rancho Supermercado, send this letter to vendors June 27, 2023:
Dear Vendor Partner, It is with great pleasure to inform you that Heritage Grocers Group (Heritage) has recently completed the successful acquisition of Texas-based El Rancho Supermercado (El Rancho).
This acquisition is in alignment with our growth strategy and demonstrates that Heritage remains poised for continued growth and success.
Heritage will remain based in Ontario, CA, and upon completion of this transaction, the Heritage store count will increase from 85 to 113 with 57 stores under the Cardenas Markets BB #:186000 banner (California and Nevada), 21 stores under the Tony’s Fresh Market banner (Illinois), 7 stores under the Los Altos Ranch Market banner (Arizona), and now 28 stores under the El Rancho Supermercado banner (Texas and Kansas).
Please note that El Rancho Supermercado will remain based in Texas and will continue to operate as its own banner within the Heritage Grocers Group company. In addition, all El Rancho Team Members will be gradually integrated and warmly welcomed into the Heritage family.
As we work hand-in-hand through the details of integration and identify synergies that enhance the overall customer shopping experience for our respective customers, rest assured we will also work together to identify opportunities that may grow and strengthen this partnership.
For now, it is business as usual, and should there be a change to the nature of our partnership your Heritage business contact will reach out to you directly.
As I said before, these are exciting times, and we are so grateful for your continued support and partnership!
Sincerely,
Eric Stover Chief Executive Officer Cardenas Markets and El Rancho Supermercado
