John Ponnett Named Senior Vice President of Operations for GIANT/MARTIN’S

Carlisle, PA – GIANT/MARTIN’S announced today that John Ponnett is returning to GIANT/MARTIN’S as Senior Vice President of Operations. John served most recently as Vice President of Asset Protection at Ahold USA. He succeeds Larry Stover, who in March announced his retirement after 47 years of outstanding service to GIANT/MARTIN’S and its customers. Ponnett will transition into his new role and work side-by-side with Stover until Stover’s retirement in July.

Mr. Ponnett has worked with Ahold USA businesses for more than 27 years, including as Regional Vice President of Operations, Director of Fresh Sales & Marketing and District Director for GIANT/MARTIN’S. He was also a Store Manager in several GIANT/MARTIN’S stores in central Pennsylvania.

GIANT/MARTIN’S also announced today that Stacy Wiggins, one of the Division’s Regional Vice President of Operations, will be leaving GIANT/MARTIN’S to join the Stop & Shop New England Division as Senior Vice President of Operations. A search is underway for her replacement.
