After the success of its first intimate produce industry event, the creators of Lobby Bar Live set plans for another one March 17-19, 2022 in Chicago.

Jessie Gunn, co-founder and creative director of doHi, the organization hosting the events, said the inaugural event in mid-November in Scottsdale, AZ, was well received by all who attended.

Gunn said Lobby Bar Live is a new concept for an event that is designed for attendees to develop business and personal relationships. She said the event in Scottsdale had about 30 attendees and a two-to-one producer to buyer ratio.

“So many people walked away saying this was phenomenal,” she said. “There were open lines of communication and relationship growth between all sizes of producers and buyers. Every single attendee gave feedback and said they’d do it again.”

Gunn said her group’s goal is to host three of these events in 2022, possibly a fourth, and hold them to a small group of attendees with no more than a three or four-to-one producer to buyer ratio.

“They are very personal events, about relationship building,” she said. “They will never be a 150-person event.”

The March Lobby Bar Live will be held at the Zachary Hotel in Wrigleyville.
