A preliminary injunction was granted, on July 10, 2014, against affiliated, Chicago, Illinois based companies La Siembra Produce, Inc. and La Hortaliza Produce, Inc. in civil case number 14-05022 filed in United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois. The owner of the companies, Eduardo Ornelas, was also named as a defendant. Two plaintiffs were seeking approximately $208,000 in the case. The preliminary injunction replaces a temporary restraining order previously granted on July 2, 2014.

We will continue to monitor this case, and if additional information becomes available all Blue Book Members will be notified accordingly.
