QUINCY, WA – Stemilt BB #:113654 is kicking off the SweeTango apple season this week with harvest in central Washington.
The Honeycrisp-Zestar cross is coming off the tree with excellent colors and size profile. Stemilt markets SweeTango apples on the West Coast, growing the fruit both conventionally and organically.
According to Stemilt marketing director Brianna Shales, SweeTango is a national branded apple that holds a unique position in the apple category, especially during the fall season, because of its early timing and combined volume from three primary U.S. growing regions.
“There are SweeTango fans, myself included, all over the U.S. and we’re excited at Stemilt by the fruit quality and flavors we are seeing during harvest right now,” she said.
