The Giant Company releases annual impact report

CARLISLE, Pa., April 29, 2025 – The GIANT Company BB #:103652 today released its fourth annual community impact report, highlighting its 2024 corporate social responsibility initiatives centered around its purpose of connecting families for a better future throughout the communities it serves.

“While much changes in the grocery business year over year, The GIANT Company’s commitment to serving others and giving back to our neighbors remains a constant,” said John Ruane, president, The GIANT Company. “In 2024, once again, our efforts were centered around areas where we can make the greatest impact: eliminating hunger, changing children’s lives, healing the planet, promoting wellbeing, and fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging. With this focus, we’re able to help connect families, create healthier communities, and grow local neighborhoods.”

Highlights of The GIANT Company’s community impact report include:
· In partnership with Feeding America, 10.4 million meals were donated to help eliminate hunger in communities served.
· With its customers, nearly $1 million was raised in support of local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. In addition, 10,000 backpacks filled with school products and gift cards were donated to help set students up for success.
· To create a more sustainable future, through its Healing our Planet grant program with Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful, more than $100,000 was awarded in support of planting more than 3,000 trees across Pennsylvania.
· Putting wellness within reach, The GIANT Company’s registered dietitians connected with more than 85,000 through over 230 virtual wellness classes and the company’s pharmacy teams helped keep neighbors healthy by administering more than 165,000 vaccinations.
