Net sales for the second quarter totaled $1,541.4 million compared to $759.2 million last year, an increase of 103.0%, due to the inclusion of business from the acquisition of the private brands operations of ConAgra Foods, Inc. (“Private Brands”) and favorable volume/mix, primarily in the North American Retail Grocery segment, partially offset by lower pricing and unfavorable Canadian foreign exchange.
