I talked with Robert Guenther, Senior Vice President, Public Policy, for United Fresh Produce Association BB #:145458 about what’s ahead for the Washington Conference .

The education program for the virtual conference wrapped up last week, but this week produce industry members have the opportunity for the annual hill visits, where they speak directly with members of Congress.

Attendees already signed up for their visits, which will be done virtually this year. Two U.S. Representatives told us last week that they prefer in person visits, of course, but there’s still tremendous value in produce industry members to tell their Congressmen and -women their struggles and challenges, and what they believe the government can do to help their businesses.
